NaPoWriMo 1: Winter LaceI awoke one morning to the sight of delicate lace.A chilled rain fell from gray skies, keeping mebound inside from the alien world on the otherside of the glass.I stood transfixed at the great door watching theworks of nature build around me. This artisan'seye was busy this chilly morning. How strange a sight to see this artist at workin my southern realm. I wondered how long he wouldstay and entertain my wandering imaginations ofhis icy world about. What a morning to behold from the great door.If only for a brief moment in my new life,to enjoy deep winter's splendor.
Oh How I RememberI remember the night I rode the open carriage, above all that traveled beside me.Bringing me closer to neon light. As darkness set in, a new face of this city awoke.People came out to explore a familiar city, both strangersand natives alike could feel the wonder given to usby this brightly lit face.I remember moving to the cement from my ride up high,I remember feeling the brick as I ventured forth into a night unknown. The scent of food and fish, the sounds of people and cool wind rushing through.Oh how I remember, the gem I explored that neon night.
The Creature I TraverseThe city breathes a cool salty air,the stone walkways I follow everywhere.I am alone in the sea of people flowing along the carved paths.Yet connected to the living thing around me,part of the life blood that flows through it's paved veins.I am a small part of this creature I traverse. As parts wither, change and die we all feel the loss,we feel the changes flowing through out the city.We move forward, we evolve, we adapt.I am the city.
